Short story
CRASH! The store window shattered and sprinkled to the ground like snow. George Franco came bursting in the store with a brown duffle bag while the alarm rang loudly in his ears. Sweat droplets rolling down his face, knees shaking from the task he is about to attempt. He looked around franticly, searching for the cash register. He finally discovered the position of it and dashed towards it. Not knowing the tricky maneuvers to open it, he lifted it and threw it down all in a swift motion. Dollar bills and coins went crashing everywhere. He jumped on the mess of money to gather as much as he could in the shortest amount of time. When he finally threw as much as he could in the bag, he got up, almost slipping on the extra money that was left behind, and ran as quickly as he could carrying himself out of the store. When George jumped out of the window, a wave of blue and red lights glazed over his body. The sound of police siren was blocked out by the adrenaline pulsing throughout his body so he had no idea of the cars he was encountering. A police officer jumped on top of the dazed criminal and threw cuffs on his two resisting wrists. The officer threw George up off his chest and nudged him towards the back seat of his car. The feeling of disappointment and guilt was rushing through his veins and he took his seat in the uncomfortable back seat of the car. The smell of throw up and blood was stained in to the seats. George was not a man that belonged in this situation.
